On 26 October 2026 between about 12:00 and 16:18 UTC (14:00–18:18 Finnish time), API v2 could not reach its database and answered requests with errors (503). Some requests with valid API keys were also wrongly rejected as invalid (401). The cause was a network fault between our hosting provider's server and the database. 26.10.2026 noin klo 14.00–18.18 Suomen aikaa (12.00–16.18 UTC) API v2 ei saanut yhteyttä tietokantaansa ja vastasi pyyntöihin virheellä (503). Osa kelvollisilla API-avaimilla tehdyistä pyynnöistä hylättiin lisäksi virheellisesti (401). Syynä oli verkkovika palveluntarjoajamme palvelimen ja tietokannan välillä.

Resolved. We moved the API to a new server, and it has been working normally since 16:18 UTC on 26 October. To catch problems like this faster, the health check now also tests the database connection, and all services are now monitored more closely. Korjattu. Siirsimme API:n uudelle palvelimelle, ja se on toiminut normaalisti 26.10. klo 18.18 lähtien. Jotta vastaavat ongelmat havaitaan jatkossa nopeammin, terveystarkistus testaa nyt myös tietokantayhteyden ja seuraamme kaikkia palveluita tarkemmin.
